Tantra Workshops at Shakti Gardens

Swami Rahasya from the Advait Tantra School and myself will be hosting an evening Tantra Discussion Group at Shakti Gardens. This, I hope will be the first of many to come.

We are also planning a series of Tantra Workshops - these dates will be finalised quite soon.

We would love to see as many of you as possible attending these talks and workshops.

Advait Tantra School - Workshop

Workshop - hosted by Dakini Shima & Dakini Wendy

As part of the programme of the Academy of Magick, an introductory Tantra weekend will be presented at the end of April. During the course of the weekend you will learn about various elements of Tantra and Tantric Practice. This will include practice that heightens your awareness during sex and therefore your pleasure. We will also show how this heightened awareness can be part of Sex Magick and Manifestation.

Part of this learning will include some practice that will reveal how you block and prevent your own energy, which hinders your bliss and your capacity to manifest your will into the world.

The weekend is therefore in 3 parts:
General Tantra Practice
Practice that will reveal how you block your own energy
Bringing these together in the expression of Sex Magick

The workshop will be facilitated by 2 teachers of the Advait Tantra School, Dakini Wendy and Dakini Shima

Both of these teachers are hightly trained in the Art of Tantra and have spent many years teaching and facilitating the growth path for seekers.

Shakti Gardens also welcomes male clients

Originally Shakti Gardens was created as a sanctuary where women and couples could receive healing and teaching in a safe secure environment. Recently we have been receiving more and more calls from men wishing to receive the same. Since Sherry has joined us, we have not turned away male clients and have tried to accomodate them as well.

We want to assure everyone that all are welcome, we respect all ethnic and religious groups. We want to bring you the best in alternative healing, and thus will be bringing in additional therapists, each with their own unique way of healing and treating clients. We will be able to offer other modalities such as Reiki etc.

I shall keep you informed via the Blog page ("Whats New" on the navigation bar of the website) and will be updating our website over the next few days with info on our new female therapists and to create an awareness for our male clients(current and future)that they are also welcome.

Our Tantra Workshops/Discussion Groups will be open to all, except where there is a particular theme of teaching that will either focus on the male or female energies. Our Yoga and Art Workshops are currently up and running for 2009, please let me know if you wish to be placed on a mailing list to receive newsletters for these events

Our deepening commitment to Tantric Teachings

I had a meeting with Swami Rahasya today regarding our planned Tantric meeting, discussion groups and workshops.

I am pleased to announce that we have set a date - 21st February for our first Tantric evening with Rahasya to be hosted at Shakti Gardens - cost R120 for the evening, Chai, teas/coffess and snacks will be provided.

We are also planning a series of Tantric Workshops for Shakti Gardens and Swami Rahasya has expressed an interest in teaching at these workshops, and has suggested that Shima from the Advait Tantra School be involved as well. Another teacher will be joining us to teach the basics of Kundalini Yoga and how to raise sexual energy through this form of yoga

Tantra Workshops

After recent chats with Rahasya from the Advait Tantra School we have started to put a plan into action that will see us hosting Tantric Discussion Groups and socials. We also plan to host numerous workshops with Rahasya and his Tantrikas/Dakinis at our premises. This is very encouraging and hopefully sees a new era for people seeking out Tantra, offering them more options for venues and to meet other teachers/healers. Hopefully this sees a new beginning of co-operation between different Tantric Healers and Teachers. I believe that there is a need for more unity, working together and to encourage one another and to offer the best in Tantra for genuine seekers of this teaching and lifestyle.

New developments at Shakti Gardens

Well, with a new year comes new opportunities and new growth!

Sherry and I have established a wonderful working relationship of the last year. But with growing interest in Shakti Gardens, I have been approacehed by others who wish to work with us, and thus offer a wider range of healing modalities.

I am pleased to announce that a trusted friend of mine, Natasja will be joining our ranks alongside Sherry. Natasja will be offering Reiki, Holistic full-body massage and has expressed an interest in being trained in Tantric Massage. I shall keep you informed as to when she begins with us and how her training progresses. She will be assisting me with couples and will be available for other clients (male and female) at the Shakti Gardens studio.

I will also begin a series of training for another friend, Bianca! She has expressed a desire to further her knowledge in alternative healing - she has already completed Reiki and other healing modalities - she will now begin training with me to do Swedish Massage, Tantric Massage as well as Taoist Sexual Energy Massage.

I would be keen to meet someone who could join us to do facials and nails, this is part of our growth and expansion. Maybe we will look at packages in the near future as well as basic catering. Our poolside wooden deck is almost complete, and clients are welcome to use the pool and relax if they wish.

Massage Parlour or place of healing?

I would like to point out that Shakti Gardens is a place of healing and teaching, We encourage people to get in touch with their inner emotions, and to develop a healthy attitude towards their own sexuality.

I have recently had calls from people asking if this is a massage parlour, if that is what you are looking for, then please pick up the Classifieds in the local newspaper and look for a massage parlour there.

Also what we do and what we offer is for you to experience healing and teaching, this is not a service where the clients have the option to "feel and touch" the therapist. This is about you and what you experience, the healing is focussed on you! Your enlightenment should be all that matters, nothing else.

Skyclad Moondance

As some of you know, we had to postpone our Summer Fertility Festival - well, we are now planing a new event for end of February, The Skyclad Moondance.

If you are interested please let us know so that we can start planning this event - we need to have an idea of how many will attend so we can find th eright venue. We will have guset speakers, do some arts and crafts and finish the day with a celebration around a bonfire, have a drum circle and dance skyclad under a full moon
